CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Councillor Boisvert advised she had a perceived conflict of interest in Item 5 of the
City Strategy and Development Policy Minutes, as she had made strong statements
on her blog about the DPA.
She advised that she did not see this as influencing her vote and would remain in the
Chambers to participate in the debate.
Mayor Clyne advised that he had a perceived conflict of interest in Item 5 of the City
Strategy and Development Policy Minutes, as he had also made comments in
relation to this item. He also advised that he has been endorsed as the candidate for
the State seat of Badcoe.
He advised that he would remain in the Chambers and would be able to make a
decision if he was expected to cast a deciding vote.

QUESTION FROM THE GALLERY
A member of the gallery asked a question from the floor.
The Mayor advised that normally he would not take questions from the floor during
Council meetings, but on this occasion he would take the question as members of
the gallery appeared to have concerns regarding the removal of trees in Mornington
Road area.
The Mayor advised that the DPA policy does not identify any trees for removal. If a
tree is regulated or significant the owner of the property would need to make
application for removal of any such trees.
The Mayor then asked that the members of the gallery to please refrain from asking
questions or calling out while the Council tried to continue debate on these items.

Councillor Koumi requested an extension to debating time, for up to 5 minutes.
This was agreed with a two thirds majority.
INTERRUPTION FROM THE GALLERY
Ms Mary Kolusniewski made some comments regarding Councillor Koumi while he
was debating and the Mayor asked Ms Kolusniewski to make an apology to
Councillor Koumi.
This did not occur.
APOLOGY
The Presiding Member asked Councillor Koumi to make an apology to Councillor
Schnell, after he had made a couple of disparaging remarks regarding Councillor
Schnell in his closing debate.

5. Any future redevelopment in the Unley Civic Centre site under Council’s
ownership to the east of Unley Road, only be undertaken after a full and
inclusive community consultation including what services or facilities are
provided and the built form of any such redevelopment.
