Come to Carnevale
February is the month of carnivals in Italy.
I'm told that for centuries there have been festivities, dances, parades and masquerade balls to celebrate the month.
The Italian communities in Adelaide have celebrated Carnevale for 39 years.
The event is also known as Little Italy and again this year, it will be held at the Adelaide Showground.
Italian culture - food, wine, music, art, cars, fashion, cooking demonstrations, ... will be there to be sampled and enjoyed.
Come to Carnevale this weekend, Saturday 08-Feb to Sunday 09-Feb.

I attended on the Sunday. A nice day, not too hot.

I was invited to drinks and nibbles with the organising committee.
With the State election looming it was amazing how many politicians were there - mingling and encouraging photo opportunities.
I hear that the day before the heat (40+ degrees) kept many people away.
