   Such sad news about the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Whilst neither a staunch Monarchist nor Republican, as a mark of respect I did stop door knocking and posting on social media for a respectful period; until the Queen was interned in her Royal vault. It was really not a time for council candidates to intrude on Unley residents and ask for their votes. So, I re-start my campaign to be Mayor of Unley.  I was staggered by what I heard from an #Unley resident last night. The resident contacted an Unley Council elected member to complain about an issue in their street. The elected member was more concerned about getting the resident’s vote at the upcoming election, than listening to the complaint. It was a rather unpleasant exchange.
