Gas cylinders can be disposed of at:

- Metro Waste Services, 19-25 Murray Street, Thebarton.
Oil is a valuable resource
that can be recycled. Used motor oil can be brought to the following facilities
free of charge:
- City of Unley depot, 75 King William Road, Unley
- Adelaide Waste and Recycling Centre 181 Morphett Road, North Plympton
Bring your oil in a clean,
plastic container with a lid. The original container is perfect.
Avoid using paint cans or
other metal containers.
Both oil and container will be
recycled.
Paint
Householders can bring up to
20 litres of paint to the collection; however, hardened paint and empty paint
tins will not be accepted.
Dry paint is perfectly safe to
dispose of in your waste bin.
You can harden paint at home
by simply leaving the lid off or by adding a paint hardener purchased from a
hardware store. Tap the hardened tablet of paint out of the tin and place in
the waste bin. Empty, dry paint tins can be recycled in the yellow recycling
bin.
Thanks for the early heads-up.
